Computer Center

Our computer center is located in room NU 342, on the northeast side of the building. Established in 1993 as a collaborative effort of the nursing school and University Information Technology Services (UITS), the center’s mission is to provide a computer learning environment for IUPUI students.

The center houses a variety of equipment, including:

  • 47 Dell Optiplex 260 computers (running Windows XP)
  • One iMac (running OS 10)
  • Four VCRs
  • Two standard printers
  • One color printer

All of the computers are connected to a local area network and the campus broadband, and software includes basic tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations (Microsoft Office 2007); networking; and discipline-specific software.

Check up-to-the-minute availability of computer workstations in the NU 342 lab.

Personal CD-ROM applications will not run in the center due to security protection. Any CD application must be requested by a faculty and installed by our LAN management team prior to use.

A copier is available near the northwest stairwell on the third floor. The cost is 10 cents per page and accepts only the Jagtag for payment.

Consultants are available to answer technology-related questions; questions specific to your course content should be directed to your instructor.
