Continuing Education

The Office of Lifelong Learning’s certificate programs, conferences, and Web-based courses can help you stay up-to-date on the latest knowledge, issues, and technology related to patient care and education. Our programs offer you a variety of settings and locations for learning that fit into your lifestyle and schedule.

  • Certificate programs, offered online, give you the chance to study a specific area in depth, developing a comprehensive knowledge.
  • Individual Web-based courses are a great way to meet your contact hours goal or to earn academic credit.
  • Conferences are another way to earn contact hours and to network with other nurses and health care professionals.
  • Safe Sitter Instructor Workshops, which we co-sponsor in Indiana, prepare you to teach adolescent babysitters how to care for children, especially in emergency situations.

The Indiana University School of Nursing Office of Lifelong Learning is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission of Accreditation.
