Getting Help

The UITS Support Center can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by phone, (317) 274-HELP; e-mail, or chat with a consultant. You can also get help on thousands of technology and university topics through the Knowledge Base.

For help specific to the School of Nursing, complete the Nursing Technology Support request form. For critical requests during regularly scheduled work hours, call the Nursing Help Line, (317) 278-NURS (6877)

Rooms in the School of Nursing

UITS Computer Center
Nursing 342 lab is open Monday–Thursday 7:15 a.m. – 4 p.m. The Center is closed during Kaplan testing.

Classroom Technology
Review the complete list for specific classroom technology. School of Nursing academic departments will be notified by the on-site UITS technology representative when the Creston passcode changes.

Instructors may request a VHS camera recorder (camcorder) or 35mm slide projector for classroom use by calling (317) 274-4357.

Conference Rooms
Indiana University School of Nursing conference rooms include NU B10F, NU 127, NU 135, NU 222, NU 311, NU 336, NU 339, NU 410, NU 441, NU 456, and NU 487. Each of the conference rooms have either permanent or temporary Internet and audio/video (A/V) equipment. For questions or to schedule A/V equipment in a conference room, contact Malarie Piercy by phone (317) 274-1829 or e-mail mpiercy [at] iupui [dot] edu; after hours, contact the UITS Support Center (317) 274-HELP (4357).

Virtual Classrooms

Pedagogy/Instructional Design

When you are ready to create a new course or re-tool an existing course, or want to improve course structure and flow, develop learning activities, or improve interactive online communication, contact Cindy Hollingsworth by e-mail cholling [at] iupui [dot] edu or phone (317) 274-0752. Cindy will also assist faculty as they learn “how to teach on the Web” and will conduct peer reviews of online course .

Oncourse

Oncourse CL, Indiana University's learning management system, is supported at the School of Nursing by Ben Johnson. For questions on using Oncourse CL, contact Ben by e-mail bsjohnso [at] iupui [dot] edu or phone (317) 278-6562.

Audio/Visual Equipment Loan

The School of Nursing provides limited audio/visual equipment for faculty and staff use.

  • To check out a laptop for conference presentations, call (317) 274-1829 at least 48 hours in advance to check availability.
