Videoconferencing

What It Is

Videoconferencing allows two-way voice and video connections over the Internet through a Polycom viewstation. Videoconference rooms use two simultaneous displays: the camera image of remote participants and a local display, which may be the partipants, presenter, projection of documents, or sharing of computer applications.

Available Rooms

Indiana University School of Nursing video conference rooms include NU 222, NU 336, and NU 339.

Request Rooms for Meetings

Academic distance class scheduling takes precedence over meeting requests for the available video conferencing rooms. Because of the high demand for these rooms, it is important to check the availability and make scheduling requests for meetings as early as possible; last minute requests may not be able to be accommodated.

To schedule video conferencing for meetings contact Malarie Piercy by phone (317) 274-1829 or e-mail mpiercy [at] iupui [dot] edu.

Tips

Participating in a successful videoconference means adjusting some of our habits. For some quick pointers, review Tips for On-camera Presenters.
